The art of growing bonsai plants owes its origin to China more than two thousand years back. Here it was called Penzai. But it found its way into Japan 700 years ago. Bonsai made its advent into Korea during the Tang or Song Dynasty during the 7th - 13th century). Here it is now called Bunjae. Chinese bonsai tree has a characteristic of their own, may be because it comes from its creators themselves. 

Chinese Flowering White Serissa is also known as Tree of a Thousand Stars is a Chinese bonsai tree. The Japonica has rather lean spoon shaped, glossy green leaves. A twiggy tree, it grows tighter with shearing. This northern Chinese Serissa has little white trumpet shaped blossoms and is shaped into wonderful shapes with an bushy upright canopy. The product is 12 years old and 12" tall. 

Chinese Elm – Large is yet another variety of Chinese bonsai tree. It has small evergreen leaves, which is found on the tree all through the year. They are hardy but have excellent branching characteristics. Its twisted trunk and bare roots great age look. The tree is easy for indoor care.
